For The Win: Games, Puzzles, and the Science of Play

  • Kendall/MIT Open Space 292 Main St Cambridge, MA 02142 (map)

This program is part of the Cambridge Science Festival. For more information about the festival and with any questions about this event, check out their website.

Exploring the science behind games, theories of problem-solving and the value of play, this eye-catching series is designed to engage and entertain the whole community.

From the developmental advantages of children’s games to strategic and tactical thinking in chess and card games, from the future of digital gaming and VR to the social science of competitiveness, this joyful celebration of shared humanity will be a highlight of the Festival week. Stop by for a game or two, and learn why ‘play’ is so important.

As this event is taking place outdoors after dusk, we recommend using mosquito repellant, and covering up with long-sleeved shirts, loose pants, and socks. For more information about mosquito-borne illnesses, please visit MIT Health
